Kindergarten 1 (KG1) – Academic Curriculum Overview
First Steps into Learning

At Ibn Khaldoun International School, our KG1 program provides a caring, creative, and engaging environment where children begin their educational journey with joy and curiosity.   • Science: Observing the world through simple experiments related to plants, animals, weather, and the five senses
  • Spanish Language: Learning basic greetings, colors, and numbers through songs and games.
  • Art & Physical Education: Enhancing fine motor skills, imagination, rhythm, and movement through fun, expressive activities.

Kindergarten 2 (KG2) – Academic Curriculum Overview
Building Confidence and Readiness

The KG2 program at IKS prepares students for elementary school by strengthening their academic foundations and social skills. Students explore English language, math, and science in a joyful, inquiry-based environment.

Curriculum Framework: Skill Sharpeners Series

Core Subjects:

  • English Language: Building reading readiness through phonics, sight words, and sentence formation. Students develop their recognition of letter and sounds.
  • Mathematics: Counting up to 20 and beyond, simple addition and subtraction, patterns, and introduction to time and money concepts.
  • Science: Discovering living and non-living things, weather changes, and materials through hands-on exploration.
  • Spanish Language: Expanding vocabulary with topics such as animals, family, and daily routines.
  • Art & Physical Education: Nurturing self-expression, balance, coordination, and teamwork.

Learning Approach:

Kindergarten 3 (KG3) – Academic Curriculum Overview
Bridging Early Learning and Elementary Readiness

KG3 represents an essential bridge between early childhood and the elementary program. Students engage in structured yet dynamic lessons that develop academic readiness, independence, and social confidence

Using McGraw Hill Kindergarten-level books, our curriculum introduces children to the American academic framework in a developmentally appropriate and engaging way.

Curriculum Framework: McGraw Hill Kindergarten (Wonders, Reveal Math, Inspire Science)

Core Subjects:

  • English Language Arts (McGraw Hill Wonders): Developing early reading fluency, writing short sentences, understanding story sequence, and expanding vocabulary.
